William “Billy” Roy Glenn

William “Billy” Roy Glenn, 67, of Marshall, MO, died Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Living Center in Marshall.

Born January 23, 1956, in Kansas City, MO, Billy was the son of the late William “Bill” Glenn of Kansas City, MO, Mary M. Grapperhaus Pannell and stepfather Leonard “Bud” Pannell. Billy was a long time employee of the Center for Human Services in Marshall.

Survivors include one sister, Vivianne Glenn-Hough (Gary) of Blue Springs; one brother, Chris Pannell (Kim) of Lee’s Summit; two uncles, Francis Grapperhaus of Keytesville and Bob Glenn (Shirley) of Wakarusa, IN; close first cousin, Lisa Leimkuehler Wood (Jim) of Blue Springs;  many other loved cousins; and five nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother James “Scott” Glenn of Keytesville, MO, in 2019 and his niece Sydnee Soendker of Blue Springs, MO in 2020.

Billy loved all sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, the Royals, and WWE Wrestling. He rarely knew a stranger and enjoyed meeting new people. He developed many deep and lasting friendships with the caregivers of the group homes that he was blessed to live in over the years. He was a big fan of all the Marvel superheroes. Billy loved all animals, but had a special love for cats. He adored his family and had a special bond with his brother Scott, and they shared a unique and ornery sense of humor.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Lisa Wood officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.  Memorial donations are suggested to Center for Human Services (formerly Cooperative Workshop Inc.) 1500 Ewing Dr., Sedalia, MO 65301 in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
