September 16, 1962 – March 1, 2023

Timothy (Tim) Michael Fox, of Oak Grove, Mo., passed from this earthy life to heaven on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the age of 60.

Tim was born on Sept. 16, 1962, in Marshall, Mo. He was the middle child and son of the late Benton W Fox of Marshall, Mo., and Lillian Kay (Reichel) Corbett of Newton, Iowa. Tim attended St. Peter Catholic School and Marshall High School, graduating in 1980.

Tim worked with his father, Benton W Fox, in support of the family business, Fox Monument Works in Marshall, Mo., early in his career and was a security guard for a variety of companies in the Kansas City Metro area in the latter part of his work experience. However, Tim was truly an artist and creative spirit. He loved to draw and paint imaginary creatures and cartoons. He was also a huge fan of all sports – especially football – and loved to collect football cards. Everyone who knew Tim felt his big heart and kind nature. He will be missed especially by his four step-grandchildren, with whom he spent countless hours playing, escorting them on Halloween, making snow sculptures and numerous other activities.

Tim is survived by his wife, Elena Fox; stepdaughter, Kerah Herdman; stepson, Ryan Herdman; four grandchildren, Skylar Little-Eagle, Serenity Arangua, Sarah Arangua and Blane Martin – all of Oak Grove, Mo.; sister, Kimberly Sue (Fox) Strausbaugh, Omaha, Neb.; sister, Diana Fox Jackson, Spotsylvania, Va.; stepmother, Shirly Fox, and stepsister, Nicole Meyer, both of Blackwater, Mo.; step-niece, Alex Gaddy, Marshall, Mo.; stepfather, Bill Corbett, Newton, Iowa; and countless other loved ones.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held in the near future; the date, time and place will be announced.
