Terry J. McGuire, 92, of Marshall, Mo., passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at Wellington Senior Living in Liberty, Mo.

Born June 29, 1930, in Sweet Springs, Mo., he was the son of the late Terry H. McGuire and Anna Marie Pinkepank McGuire. He was a 1948 graduate of Trenton High School and a 1954 graduate of Iowa State College in Ames, Iowa. He was in the ROTC and was commissioned a second lieutenant. He was stationed at 5th Corps Headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, from 1955 to 1956. On June 22, 1952, in Trenton, he married Frances “Fran” Evelyn Guilkey, who survives of the home. From 1960 he owned and operated McGuire’s Davis Paint Store in Marshall until selling the store in 1996. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Kiwanis Club. After retirement, he enjoyed building rock gardens and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Fran; two daughters, Linda Rinne (Rob) of Las Vegas, Nev., and Luann Vocke (Fred) of Kansas City, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Blair Rinne, Jil Rinne and Matthew Vocke.
