Temple Lee Willard, 81, of Concordia, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington, Mo.
Graveside services will be held at noon Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at Lexington Memory Gardens, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to family choice. Born Sept. 20, 1940, in Alma, Mo., he was the son of the late Robert Willard and Esther Dittmer Willard. On June 17, 2017, he married Teresa Zimmer Kreber, who survives of the home. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 2783 in Benton County, Trilumina Lodge No. 205 A.F. & A.M. in Marshall and Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma. He loved his lake life at the Lake of the Ozarks, enjoyed bowling, was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan and followed his sports.
Survivors include his wife Teresa; three children, Scott Willard (Lucy) of Laredo, Texas, Nancy Hedgpeth (Mike) of LaMonte, Mo., and Lisa Eddie of Decatur, Ala.; four stepchildren, Cathy Strahle of Sedalia, Mo., Connie Anderson of Olathe, Kan., Samantha Zimmer of Kansas and Christiana Jacobs of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Bargfrede of Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Temple was preceded in death by one sister, Kathryn Weathers; and two siblings in infancy, Martha Jane Willard and William Robert Willard.
