A year ago, Avery Evans advanced to the state quarterfinals in singles action, one step away from the Final Four.Evans made an effort to get back to the state at the individual district tournament last Friday in Marshall.The Lady Owl senior won her first two matches in dominating fashion in the 24-player bracket.
