Street work began on Marshall roads this past week – this section of Vest Street was milled Thursday, May 30. At the end of April, the Marshall City Council approved a bid for asphalt paving as well as emulsified asphalt slurry seal. Council members also approved a bid for a two-inch asphalt overlay. The repaving of multiple streets in town is expected to take place throughout June, as the city looks to finish the projects before the beginning of the next school year.Sarah Gray/Democrat-News
