Ruth A. Mabrey, 85, of Concordia, Mo., formerly of Marshall, Mo., died Saturday, July 9, 2022, at her home.
Memorial graveside service for family and friends will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2022, in Smith Chapel Cemetery south of Marshall. Born July 5, 1937, in Neponset, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Robert Leonard Martin and Mary E. Sullivan Martin. She graduated from high school in Tupelo, Miss. On Aug. 26, 1959, she married Nathan A. Lowe, who later divorced. On Dec. 29, 1982, she married Jesse M. Mabrey, who preceded her in death on April 19, 1995. While living in Marshall she worked at ConAgra for 25 years, and in earlier years she farmed. She moved to Concordia in 1999 where she attended the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed redecorating, flower gardening and reading.
Survivors include four children, Rachel Wolters (Gary) of Forest City, Iowa, Calvin Lowe of Aurora, Mo., Ginger Evans (Scott) of Concordia and Mary Lowe of Olathe, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Ruth was preceded in death by two sons, Greg Tipton and Woody Lowe; and one brother, Gene Martin.
