December 13, 1955 – November 29, 2022

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, Randall Lynn Smith died at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas. He was 66. He was born on Dec. 13,1955, in Marshall, Mo., to Emmett “Lee” and Betty Smith, arriving as a 3rd birthday present for his older brother. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1974, attended technical school in Kansas City before marrying Pamela (Pam) Starke in Higginsville, Mo., on Aug. 12,1984.
He was a beloved son, brother, husband, dad, and papa. Those left behind to cherish his memory include wife Pam Starke Smith of Van Alstyne, Texas; his children, Torrie (James) Levins, Ashlynn (Drew) Robinson of Princeton, Texas, and Caleb (Laura) Smith of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Jack Levins, Finn Robinson and Emmy Robinson; his mother, Betty Smith; siblings Gary (Susan) Smith, Sharon (Paul) Benedick, all of Marshall, Mo., and Carol Smith (Al Simmons) of Avon Park, Fla.; in addition to his mother-in-law, Betty Rinne; brother-in-law, Gary Starke (Terri) of Higginsville, Mo.; and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces, an aunt, an uncle and many long-time friends.
Randy was employed at Texas Instruments/Raytheon for 37 years. He loved to ride his Harley motorcycle, listen to live music, play with his grandkids, and tinker in his shed.
Randy was a sweet and caring man. We will always remember Randy as a quiet, gentle soul who demonstrated tremendous strength as he fought his battle with the goal of loving his family as long as he possibly could.
