Paul Herbert Marsh

Paul Herbert Marsh, 100, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022, quietly in his sleep at Lenoir Woods Senior Living in Columbia.

Born near Shackleford, and raised on his dad’s farm near Sweet Springs, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 and became an Aviation Jet Mechanic Chief over his 20 years of active service, taking his family around the country on his tours, visiting most states and two foreign countries. Upon retirement, he and his wife, Virginia, continued their travels, visiting many additional scenic spots in their motor home, finally settling down in Columbia, Mo., in 1995.

His sister Gertrude survives him and currently lives in Slater, Mo. His two sons, Paul David and Phillip Michael, live in Sacramento, Calif.

Paul will be interred with his wife, Virginia, at the VA State Veterans Cemetery Columbarium in Jacksonville, Mo., on July 27.
