A mobile home at Lakeview Trailer Park, north of Marshall, was completely destroyed by fire early Tuesday, Nov. 1. According to a Marshall Fire Department report, firefighters were dispatched shortly before 2 a.m. and were on scene for approximately two hours. There were nine MFD personnel on scene to fight the blaze, utilizing five vehicles. The cause and area of origin were undetermined, according to the report. The report did not indicate if anyone was at the trailer at the time of the fire; although it did indicate that the building was “idle, not routinely used.” Luckily, the fire did not damage a neighboring trailer, roughly 10 feet away.
