Mildred ‘Millie’ Wilder-Skaggs

Mildred “Millie” Wilder-Skaggs, 86, of Marshall, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at her home.

Born Aug. 7, 1936, in Malden, Mass., she was the daughter of the late John Russell Douglas Wiswell and Mary Clements Ashcroft. On Aug. 7, 2013, she married Wallace “Teke” Skaggs, who survives of the home. Millie lived in Marshall most of her life where she was a homemaker. In addition to being a homemaker, Millie worked at International Shoe Factory and Economy Cleaners in Marshall.

In addition to her husband, Millie is survived by three children, Jeff Williams of Newton, Kan., Karen FitzGerald (Keith) of Lenexa, Kan., and Kurt Williams (Susan Zank Williams) of Springfield, Mo.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Winnie Blum, Peggy Blum and Rose Wiswell, all of Massachusetts, and Betty Wiswell of Pennsylvania; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter in infancy, Kimberly Williams; one brother and three sisters.
