The Marshall High School Debate Squad competed this past weekend in the Grain Valley Debate Tournament.Two MHS students placed in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Brianna Carrillo placed 11th, and Piper Brunson placed 12th out of 60 debaters entered in the event.The topic at the tournament was “The United States ought to adopt a wealth tax.” The next tournaments for the squad will be at Carrollton High School and Truman High School.Contributed image
