Mark R. Jackson, 64, of Slater, died Friday, March 3, 2023, at his home.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.  Cremation will follow the visitation.

Memorials are suggested to the Good Shepherd Hospice in care of the funeral home.

Born Dec. 8, 1958, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Vernon D. and Shirley Bennington Jackson. On June 23, 1978, near Miami, he married Bonnie K. Bryson, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving are a son, Bo Jackson and his wife, Chelsie, of Slater; a daughter, Johanna Dunsmore and her husband, Larry, of Grain Valley; six grandchildren, Dillon Dunsmore, Makayla Crook, Dominic Crook, Keylee Jackson, Mavryck Jackson and Jett Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Kingston Crook and Athena Crook; two brothers, Vernie Jackson and Rusty Jackson, both of Slater; and two sisters, Penny Burks Parrish of Slater and Tammy (Jackson) Johnson of Sweet Springs.

Mr. Jackson worked as a carpenter most of his life, working with Jackson Brothers Construction, and was a lifelong area resident.
