Julia Mae Landreth

Julia Mae Landreth, 91, of Slater, formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, July 7, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater, with Jeff Page officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat.

Born April 1, 1931, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lucille Butler. On Jan. 23, 1951, at the First Presbyterian Church in Marshall, she married Robert Landreth, and he survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, Douglas Landreth and his wife, Carol, of Marshall and Steven Landreth and his wife, Barbara, of Tyler, Texas; a daughter, Joy Bryson and her husband, Danny, of Slater; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann Thomas.

Mrs. Landreth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marshall, and had worked for a number of years as a secretary of the Diplomatic Corps of Government before her retirement.
