April 19, 1940 — June 6, 2022

Joyce Marie Rodden, 82, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2022. She was born on April 19, 1940, in Marshall, Mo., a daughter of the late John and Bonnie (Hanes) Davis. Joyce was united in marriage on June 29, 1958, to LeRoy Rodden.

She was a 1958 graduate of Marshall High School. For many years she worked for the City of Jefferson. Joyce was a two-time woman of the year for the American Business Woman’s Association (ABWA). She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Sunday school teacher, enjoyed reading her Bible and Christian poetry. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and little pup, Beau.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Rodden (Mike) and Brian Rodden (Debbie); brothers, Joe Davis (Roselyn) and Mike Davis; granddaughter, Samantha Rodden; and great-grandchildren, Summer and Madison Rodden. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Rodden; grandson, Dexter Rodden; granddaughter, Alexis Rodden; and brother, Johnny Davis Jr.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will follow at noon. Inurnment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Callaway Hills Animal Shelter or Jefferson City Animal Shelter.
