Jon Pat Barnard, 83, of Marshall, Mo., died Friday, April 29, 2022, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

Memorial graveside services with full military rites will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Ridge Park Cemetery Road Campaign in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born Oct. 5, 1938, in Pocatello, Idaho, he was the son of the late H. Pat Barnard and Gileel Coffman Barnard. Jon lived in Saline County most of his life and was a 1958 graduate of Marshall High School. On March 7, 1988, he married Leslie Ann Balls, who preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 1991. Jon served in the United States Army and United States Navy for a combined total of seven years, and then in the Air National Guard for six years.

Survivors include a daughter, Rose Mary Rose (Jeff) of Thoreau, N.M.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as cousins from the Coffman family.
