John Russell Arndt, 65, of Marshall, Mo., died Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at his home.

Born March 20, 1958, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Otis Edward Arndt and Barbara Moore Arndt. John lived in Marshall all of his life where he had worked at Mid-State Seed, Marshall Habilitation Center and most recently at Wal-Mart. He loved the outdoors and especially watching and studying birds.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Recalde of Benton, Ark., and Mary Ladson of Shelburn, Ind.; four grandchildren, Jacob and Jonathan Lindsey and Kimber and Brody Ladson; two siblings, Fran Arndt and Harry Arndt, both of Marshall; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

John was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Bill, Bob and Lewis Arndt; and one sister, B.J. Waters.
