Ira A. “ P o p ” Crumbaugh, Jr., 80, of rural Slater, died Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at his home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023 it 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Slater, with Terry Jordan officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Gilliam Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Hospice or Community Cancer Center in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born April 9, 1943 in Boonville, he was the son of the late Ira A. and Leona Mae Lampe Crumbaugh. On Fuly 16, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri, he married Rhonda Sue Cook, and she survives of the home.
Also surviving are three sons, Daniel Crumbaugh and his wife Dawn of rural Miami, Jack Crumbaugh and his wife Cindy of rural Marshall, and Jeremy Crumbaugh of Odgen, Utah; a daughter, Dana Cordell and her husband Lane of Marble Hill, Missouri; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Ann Reidel; and a granddaughter.
Mr. Crumbaugh was a member of the First Baptist Church in Slater, and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #78 in Slater, and a lifelong Saline County farmer.
