Gloria F. Sparks, 83, of Sedalia, Mo., formerly of Marshall, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at Open Door Baptist Church in Marshall, with Joseph DeGonia officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the family to help defray funeral expenses in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Oct. 19, 1939, in Slater, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Clay Surber and Allie Schuster Surber. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. She loved to cook and sew, and loved her family and her cats.
Survivors include three children, Teresa Johnson of Sedalia, Arthur Waddle of Dexter, Mo., and Tabatha Boehmer (Randy) of Marshall; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Tony, Daniel, Jason, Joshua and Brannon; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Stanley Sparks, Gloria was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy Wartenbe and LaVonda Lynn Case; and 11 brothers and sisters.
