Gary Lee Frakes

Gary Lee Frakes, 65, of Concordia, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. prior to the service. Born May 10, 1957, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Frank Frakes and Norma Miller Oetting. On Sept. 17, 1993, he married Martha Elizabeth Seifert, who survives of the home. After a 30-year career, Gary retired as a Directors Assistant 3 from the Marshall Habilitation Center on July 31, 2014. He loved working on cars and going to car shows, and he enjoyed driving and taking short trips.

In addition to his wife, Marti, he is survived by, one sister, Shelia Jackson of Lexington; one brother, Anthony Frakes and his companion, Wilma, of Lexington; one niece, LaDeana West and her husband, David, of Lexington; one nephew, Corey Lee Frakes and his companion, Lauren, of Higginsville; five great-nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Walter Kennedy of Higginsville.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a half-brother, Michael Frakes; and great-aunt, Mary Krochmeier.
