Eva Lucille Workcuff, 78, of Marshall, Mo., passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with the Rev. Lawrence J. Butler officiating. Born July 10, 1944, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Nichols and Gertrude Irene Williams McKenzie. Eva lived in Saline County most of her life and worked at Marshall Habilitation Center, assisted in the Saline County Assessor’s office, and then was the cook for the Saline County Jail until her retirement. She was married to Clarence Workcuff, and he preceded her in death in 1977. Eva was a member of Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.
Eva is survived by two daughters, Ave Agee and Clarvonnah Workcuff, both of Marshall; one stepson, Curtis Workcuff of Tipton; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Charles Russell McKenzie of Marshall; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; one son, Clarence Roy Workcuff; one brother, Robert McKenzie; and two sisters, Shirley Bynum and Irene Buford.
