Emily Marie Pogue, 84, of Marshall, Mo., died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Legendary Nursing and Rehab in Marshall.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Todd Pogue officiating. Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Born April 29, 1939, in Edwardsville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late William H. Hessel and Norma Steehlinger Hessel. On Sept. 28, 1957, she married Franklin D. Pogue, who preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 2009. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall.

Survivors include one daughter, Toni (Roger) Bryson; one son, Todd (Cindy) Pogue; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat (Rich) Pierce; three sisters-in-law, Karen Hessel, Carol Hessel and Yeula (Larry) Hawn; two brothers-in-law, Anthony (Joan) Pogue and Michael (Julie) Pogue; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Emily was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Lawson; a grandson, David Daniel Lawson; and two brothers, William Hessel and Danny Hessel.
