Donald Lee Goodsell, 71, of Slater, passed away, Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, at Fitzgibbon Hospital.

Per Donald’s wishes, there will be no services.

Donald was born April 18, 1951, in Protem, Mo., to the late Francis and Faye Goodsell. He attended schools in Forsyth, where he graduated with the class of 1971.

On May 1, 1974, in Miami, Okla., he married Betty Cunningham. She survives of the home.

Donald was a heavy machine operator for the State of Missouri, for 24 years, retiring July 1, 2010.

Additional survivors include his daughter Tammy Stringer (Warren) of Kissee Mills, Mo.; son Edwin James “Eddie” Guntly (Sheila) of Mabank, Texas, and daughter Tina Oeth (Kelly) of Marshall, Texas; sister LaVonne Kellett of Protem, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Ariel Gipson, Samantha Smith, Tylor Smith, Christina Larnard, Nicholas Smith, Garrett Goodall, Cass Boatner, Vince Bartalini and Ashley Stringer; along with five great-grandchildren, McKoy Stringer, Christopher Scott, Ella Larnard, Alaia Smith and Weston Larnard.

Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Bishop; and brothers, John and Richard Goodsell.
