Donald Earl Gaddy, 78, of Marshall, Mo., died Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at his home.

Born Dec. 31, 1943, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Joseph Harry Gaddy and Minnie Irene George Gaddy. He retired from Peabody Coal Company and Big Sky Mining Company in Montana then returned to Marshall. He loved riding Harley’s, hunting, fishing and playing his guitar.

Survivors include two daughters, Robin R. Shaffer (John) of Sweet Springs, Mo., and Kimberly Jane Huggins of Charlotte, N.C.; one son, Steven Earl Gaddy of Charleston, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Brandi Williams, Heather Litton, Jessica Folk, Astin Williams, Nicholas Gaddy, Brandon Gaddy, Tyler Gaddy, Logan Gaddy and Lauren Gaddy; eight great-grandchildren, Destanee Williams, Unique Williams, Jazmyne Williams, Alissa Clariday, Aryan Donnell, Bella Folk, Audrey Folk and Noah Gaddy; one great-great-granddaughter, Sanai’ya Williams; three sisters, Ada Nowlin of Grain Valley, Mo., Penny Nelson of Warrensburg, Mo., and Karen Simpson of Jefferson City, Mo.; three brothers, Wayne Gaddy of Marshall, Kenneth Gaddy of Helena, Mont., and Gary Gaddy of Tightwad, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Joe Gaddy; two sisters, Wanda Jo Gaddy in infancy, and Connie Goring; and one grandson, O’Shea Williams.
