Missouri Valley College freshman Stephen Caviness, a 2024 graduate of Marshall High School, was an event winner in his collegiate debut Jan. 24 at the UCM Invite in Warrensburg. Caviness won the long jump with a leap of 6.74 meters. Caviness also placed 10th in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.85 meters.The Viking track and field teams competed at the Washburn Invite in Topeka, Kan., on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
