Project S.H.A.R.E. to connect families with benefit programs, free backpacks Aug. 10
The seventh annual Project S.H.A.R.E. event will be held Aug. 10 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Martin Community Center. This one-stop resource event was developed through a partnership between the Marshall Public School Social Work Department and the Missouri Valley Community Action Agency to help alleviate the multiple needs of students and families at back to school time. The name, Project S.H.A.R.E., stands for Safety, Health, and Resource Education. This event provides a one-stop location for services and resources.

Cooling shelters open throughout Saline County
Managing Editor Those in need of a cool place to stay have options in Marshall and throughout the county. Cooling shelters are available, according to Saline County Emergency Management Director Tony Day.

Pavement repair to begin on US 65
Motorists are advised to expect some delays when traveling on U.S. Highway 65 through Saline County due to upcoming road work.
