By beating fourth-seeded and host Norborne 43-13 Thursday night, the top-seeded Santa Fe Lady Chiefs advanced to the championship game of the Class 1, District 13 Tournament.

With two players scoring in double figures and getting offensive production from six others, the top-seeded Slater Wildcats advanced to the championship game of the Class 2, District 8 basketball tournament with a 64-47 semifinal victory over No. 5-seeded Tipton at New Franklin Feb. 26.

The Missouri Valley College men’s basketball team traveled to Baldwin City, Kan., to play Baker (Kan.) in the quarterfinal round of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament. The No. 8 seeded Vikings closed the gap against No. 1 seeded Baker before halftime, but fell by a final score of 72-54.
