The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s golf teams hosted the MVC Spring Invite at Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall, Mo. Both teams captured first overall, producing individual champions.

The No. 3 Missouri Valley College men’s volleyball team hosted Ottawa (Kan.) in a Heart of America Athletic Conference match to close the regular season April 8. The Vikings went to four games, and earned a win by scores of 25-22, 25-21, 23-25, 25-22 to secure the program’s first Heart title and earn an automatic berth into the NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Championship.

Slater’s track and field teams competed at the Fayette Relays April 3, with the Slater boys scoring 22 points and the Lady ‘Cats scoring three points.

When Jason Gonzalez stepped to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Sweet Springs Greyhounds trailed the visiting Tina-Avalon Dragons 7-6.
The visiting Green Ridge Lady Tigers scored 10 runs in the first two innings and rolled to a 20-1 victory in softball action at Santa Fe Monday.
