The Missouri Valley College eSports Call of Duty: Vanguard team met Chadron State (Neb.) in the National championship final of the NACE Starleague Open Plus Division II Tournament Wednesday evening inside the Missouri Valley eSports Arena. The Vikings won the best-of-five series, 3-0, to capture the program’s first Call of Duty National championship.
Despite holding the lead late in both games, the Missouri Valley College basketball teams were swept by visiting Park University in a Heart of America Athletic Conference doubleheader in Marshall Wednesday.
The Marshall Lady Owls had two winners at the “Battle of the Braids” Tournament at Fort Osage High School in Independence event earlier this week. Junior Amaiya McClinton won her 120B weight class bracket.
Playing tough defense, the second-seeded Santa Fe Lady Chiefs defeated No. 6-seeded Sweet Springs in the semifinal round of the I-70 Conference Tournament at Alma Wednesday.
