The Sweet Springs basketball teams finished their regular season by splitting I-70 Conference games versus Crest Ridge Tuesday. The Lady ‘Hounds built a double-digit lead and then held on to win 39-34.

Slater sophomore Brandon Terrill poured in 32 points, and the visiting Wildcats needed every one of them in a 54-50 Central Activities Conference victory at Pilot Grove Thursday night. The Wildcats, who did not have junior Grayson Zdybel after the first quarter, lost a big lead in the second quarter.

Atchison, Kan.- The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s basketball teams traveled to Atchison, Kan., Wednesday evening for a Heart of America Athletic Conference doubleheader with Benedictine (Kan.). The women's game ended with a 65-57 win for the Vikings. The Missouri Valley men's team pulled away for a 69-52 win.

It’s just about time for win-or-go-home basketball for all teams in Classes 1 and 2. They include the Santa Fe, Slater and Sweet Springs girls and boys teams.

Sports Editor Marshall completed its boys wrestling regular season with a 40-39 setback in a dual at Boonville Feb. 2.
