Valley men’s rodeo team wins another region title
MVC ATHLETICS The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s rodeo teams finished their regular seasons over the weekend at the Northwest Mississippi rodeo, and the final standings of the Ozark Region have been released. The men’s team captured a seventh- straight Ozark Region title, and the women’s team was reserve champion.

Lady Owls win 13th, 14th games of season
SPORTS EDITOR Not looking ahead, the Marshall Lady Owls’ soccer team took care of business Monday night. With the pressure on, the Lady Owls scored three unanswered goals in the second half to beat visiting Kirksville 4-1 in North Central Missouri Conference action at the Marshall High School Sports Complex.
Errors costly in Owls’ NCMC loss at Moberly
SPORTS EDITOR Marshall committed six errors and allowed seven unearned runs in a 7-1 North Central Missouri Conference loss at Moberly Thursday. The Spartans, who improved to 3-5 in the league, scored four times in the first inning, one in the second and two in the third.
Lady Chiefs win I-70 Conference track meet
SPORTS EDITOR Santa Fe’s Molly Malter was the star at the I-70 Conference track and field meet at Sweet Springs Saturday. The junior won three individual events among the Lady Chiefs’ five, leading SFHS to the overall team title.

SPORTS EDITOR Four teams totaled more than 100 points, with the Lone Jack Mules emerging as the team champion at the I-70 Conference track and field meet at Sweet Springs Saturday. The Mules accumulated 125 points.

SPORTS EDITOR It was tough for the Marshall Owls tennis players to gain any momentum in their matches versus Jefferson City Thursday. The Owls lost the nonconference match 9-0.
Chiefs wallop Wellington
SPORTS EDITOR Senior Emmett Finkeldei threw a four-hit gem, and the Santa Fe offense produced runs in four different innings, and the Chiefs walloped Wellington 10-1 in I-70 Conference regular-season action Friday.
