Sports Editor Santa Fe junior Dash Wilsie rushed for 116 yards and four touchdowns, leading the host Chiefs to a dominating 90-14 non-conference victory over Northland Christian Friday. The Chiefs jumped out to a 22-0 lead after a quarter.

Sweet Springs’ foray into 8-man football has been successful the first two weeks. After a 50-22 win over Norborne/Hardin Central in week one, Jeff Holtzman’s Greyhounds defeated visiting Knox County 50-18 Friday.

The Marshall Lady Owls’ volleyball team fell to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the NCMC with a 25-15, 25-18, 25-15 loss at Fulton Thursday. The Lady Owls registered 14 kills, paced by five from senior Kiki Simic.

Sports Editor In a five-set marathon match, the Santa Fe Lady Chiefs’ volleyball team defeated the homestanding Northwest-Hughesville Lady Mustangs 25- 22, 25-19, 20-25, 16-25, 15-7 Thursday. The Lady Chiefs totaled 47 kills, led by junior Kameron Dankenbring with 14.

After running roughshod over Midway 38-14 in week one, Christian Audsley was hoping for some type of similar performance from the Slater Wildcats in week two. However, the visiting Adrian Blackhawks scored the first 48 points of the matchup, on their way to a 48-6 Western Missouri Conference victory Friday.
