Struggling to score touchdowns continues to haunt the Missouri Valley College football team. The Vikings managed only three field goals on four trips to the Red Zone in the first half of their Heart of America Athletic Conference South Division opener versus Evangel at Nixa and ultimately lost 21-16 Saturday.

When Paul Troth’s Missouri Valley College football team tasted defeat for the first time in the 2022 season, 31-30 at Clarke, it rebounded the next week to win 28-21 in overtime at home over Graceland. Then the Vikings recorded a comefrom- behind 28-16 win at Culver-Stockton.
