Sophomore forward Sam Green netted a goal in each half to lead the No. 9ranked Missouri Valley College men’s soccer team to a 3-0 victory over 15thranked Oklahoma Wesleyan on Gregg-Mitchell Field in Marshall Tuesday. Green now has 15 goals and 36 points this season and owns the program single- season record for game-winning goals with eight. He has scored seven penalty-kick goals. He also has scored in each of the last six games and has netted multiple goals in four of the last five contests.

Three losing streaks continued for the Missouri Valley College football team Saturday. The Vikings failed to capitalize on several good opportunities, gave up a late touchdown and lost to the Central Methodist Eagles 14-9 on Gregg-Mitchell Field.

For years, the Central Methodist Eagles were alsorans in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, with Valley losing the matchup about a handful of times since the beginning of the league in 1971.
