In a season filled with close losses, the Missouri Valley College football team had a chance to change that trend and end three losing streaks at the same time Saturday in Baldwin City, Kan. The Vikings led the host Baker Wildcats by six points two-thirds of the way through the fourth quarter.
Not too many years ago, when Valley and Baker met on the gridiron a lot was at stake- a conference title and an NAIA playoff berth. Times have changed.
After another successful regular season for the Missouri Valley College soccer teams, they are going to be holding Watch Parties for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) selection shows.
In this season of giving, the Missouri Valley College tennis teams are seeking help from area residents. MVC’s first-year head tennis coach Rei Pelushi, who came to Marshallfrom Albania to play tennis at Valley as a freshman in 2015 and has earned his undergraduate degree and is working toward his master’s degree and has stayed to lead the MVC teams,says the fundraiser will be at Bloomfield’s Family Restaurant Wednesday, Nov.
Friday, Nov. 11 Football Sweet Springs at North Shelby, 7 p.m.
Despite scoring their most points in a single game since early last season, the Missouri Valley Vikings came up on the short end of another Heart of America Athletic Conference football game Saturday. The Vikings could not quite get all the way back from a 21-point deficit and lost 49-42 at MidAmerica Nazarene in Olathe.

The No. 9 Missouri Valley College men’s soccer team clinched a share of the Heart of America Athletic Conference regular season championship last week, and two members of the team have swept the weekly conference awards for their efforts in two games.
