The Missouri Valley College men’s soccer team played in the quarterfinal round of the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Thursday evening in Decatur, Ala, against Mobile (Ala.). The Vikings fell behind early, and lost by a final score of 3-1.
The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s basketball teams welcomed in Mount Mercy (Iowa) for a Heart of America Athletic Conference doubleheader Wednesday evening inside the Burns Athletic Complex. The Viking women’s basketball team came back from a deficit to earn a 72-71 victory. The men’s team led throughout, and pulled away in the second half for an 83-61 win.

After surviving a scare in the first round of the Marshall Bracket of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Soccer Tournament- getting a goal in the 82nd minute from junior Kazuki Hashimoto to beat fourth-seeded Cardinal- Stritch (Wisc.) Thursday, the top-seeded Missouri Valley Vikings had some fun Saturday.
By winning games at two different sites Thursday, the nationally-ranked Missouri Valley College soccer teams advanced to the championship games of their respective pods and one win away from their national tournament final sites.
In a season filled with close losses, the Missouri Valley College football team had a chance to change that trend and end three losing streaks at the same time Saturday in Baldwin City, Kan. The Vikings led the host Baker Wildcats by six points two-thirds of the way through the fourth quarter.
