End of Summer Bucket List

If your kids are anything like mine, the battle cries of, “We are bored!” and “What are we doing today?” have started to fill the time between waking up and finishing my firstcup of coffee.I always like to hold out on some tricks up my sleeve for August. July is often filled with family visits, sleeping late and the standard quo ice cream, bike trips, pool days and backyard shenanigans.

Missouri’s senior congressional Republicans support Pelosi Taiwan trip

Missourinet Missouri’s Senator Roy Blunt is among 28 Republicans who’ve signed onto a statement supporting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to visit Taiwan. “I’m about to use four words in a row that I haven’t used in this way before and those words are Speaker Pelosi was right when she decided to include Taiwan on her visit to Asia,” Blunt said earlier today in remarksto reporters that were broadcast on CSPAN.

Gathering together

A couple of years ago just before the Covid hit churches were experiencing a slow decline of memberships in their gathering on Sunday mornings. Now that the virus has pretty much weaken and things have been slowly getting back to normal the churches still see their membership numbers dropping. Why? Because a lot of churches have set themselves up to telecast their services on the internet for people that have been staying home and now have gotten use to staying home on Sunday mornings. Is this a good thing? Not really because you miss so much by staying home and not being a part of God’s plan for us to come together in fellowship and drawing spiritual strength from each other. Let me explain a little deeper…
