JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – On Monday, April 28, on behalf of cattlemen and cattlewomen throughout the state, Governor Mike Kehoe proclaimed May as Beef Month in Missouri. Governor Kehoe presented the proclamation to members of the Missouri Beef Industry Council (MBIC), Missouri Cattlemen’s Association (MCA) and local beef producers during a ceremony at the Missouri Capitol.
As the Senate focuses on the budget, I’m happy to talk to you about a bill I strongly support and hope to help cross the finish line in the final weeks of session – Senate Bill 710, which was combined with my own Senate Bill 713.
A mail carrier in France built a palace in the 19th century. In 1879, Fredinand Cheval tripped over a stone during his route that began the project. He was 43 years old at the time and spent 33 years collecting rocks and building “Le Palais Ideal.” The palace is located in southeastern France and is still visited today.
Look out the window, and let’s paint a very clear picture. We’ve planted the flowers, and they’re blooming; the trees have bud and now leaves are forming; the grass is green, and you have already had to mow several times. Isn’t all of creation beautiful? A couple of weeks ago was Easter, a celebration of new life by way of the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
