JEFFERSON CITY – Today, Governor Mike Kehoe requested that President Donald Trump approve a major disaster declaration to provide federal assistance in a total of 26 Missouri counties in response to the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that caused widespread destruction across the state from March 30 to April 8. Six deaths were confirmed due to severe storms during the period.

Hello! This week, I would like to talk with you about the various Missouri Boards and Commissions.

As the Senate focuses on the budget, I’m happy to talk to you about a bill I strongly support and hope to help cross the finish line in the final weeks of session – Senate Bill 710, which was combined with my own Senate Bill 713.

Look out the window, and let’s paint a very clear picture. We’ve planted the flowers, and they’re blooming; the trees have bud and now leaves are forming; the grass is green, and you have already had to mow several times. Isn’t all of creation beautiful? A couple of weeks ago was Easter, a celebration of new life by way of the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
