Saline County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a report of shooting into a residence located in the 100 block of East Mechanic Street in Miami on Tuesday, December 26 at approximately 3:00 p.m.
The Marshall Police Department responded to the following calls from Dec. 21-27, 2023: – Juvenile Report – Sexual misconduct – Juvenile Report - Child abuse – DWI – Non-injury accident – Juvenile Report – Runaway juvenile located and returned to parent – Juvenile Report – Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Assault – Two unknown men assaulted a man. One man struck the victim on the back of the head. Both men ran from the scene, the Investigation continues.

The Marshall Police Department responded to the following calls from Nov. 30 through Dec. 5, 2023: – Medical Assist – Stealing – Documents were stolen from an unlocked vehicle – Warrant arrest Computer inquiry of Mr. Donald Masoner III revealed he was a fugitive from justice from Clay County for four traffic violations, failing to appear, with a total bond amount of $1,000 cash only.
The Marshall Police Department responded to the following calls Nov. 28-30, 2023: – Stealing – MVC student had shoes stolen from his vehicle.
The Marshall Police Department responded to the following calls from Nov. 25-28, 2023: – Stealing – someone stole a birth certificate from a vehicle – Rape – Juvenile Case – Suicide attempt – Arrest – speeding – 11-15 miles per hour over posted speed limit – Domestic Violence – one arrested – Non-Injury Accident – Warrant Arrest – A computer inquiry revealed Mr. Michael Gilliland was a fugitive from justice from Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop A for failure to appear on the original charge of careless and imprudent driving involving an accident with a $6,000 cash or surety bond with adjoining counties (to Jackson County, MO) only including Platte County, MO extradition limit. Gilliland was arrested and transported to the Saline County Justice Facility.
