1 injured when car travels off road, into creek

A Sweet Springs woman was injured when the vehicle she was driving crashed in Pettis County Monday, Aug. 29. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred when a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Virginia Ulverg, 64, of Sweet Springs, was heading north on Buncomb Road. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck a culvert and became airborne. According to the report, the vehicle then struck a ditch and landed in a creek. Ulverg was transported to a hospital via ambulance for treatment of moderate injuries. The crash took place at 5:14 p.m. north of Route OO.

1 injured in early morning crash Monday

A Marshall man was injured in an early morning crash Monday, Aug. 8, in Saline County. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred on Park Road near Forest Avenue when a 2021 Toyota traveled off the road and overturned, coming to rest on its driver’s side. The driver – Robert W. King, 41, of Marshall – sustained minor injuries. He was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital via Saline County Ambulance for treatment. King was reportedly wearing a safety device.

2 people receive injuries in crash Monday

While traveling northbound on Wildcat Road in Saline County, a 2004 Chevrolet traveled off the roadway. According to the report filed by Missouri State Highway Patrol, the vehicle moved at a high rate of speed. This caused the Chevrolet to strike an embankment and overturn. The driver — Samantha Byers, 22, of Sedalia — was ejected and received moderate injuries. Byers’ occupant — Kalib Richardson, 23, of Marshall — received minor injuries.
