Some injuries were reported after three vehicles crashed on U.S. Highway 65 in Marshall Monday morning, Aug. 29. The crash occurred between Wal-Mart Drive and Vest Street. According to a Marshall Police Department report, two of the drivers, Amanda Swift and Diane Raglin, reported a third vehicle had crossed the center line, striking both of their vehicles. Raglin’s vehicle then went off the roadway. The driver of the third vehicle, Anthony Deen, reportedly stated he was traveling south on Highway 65 and the next thing he remembered was striking the vehicles.
A Sweet Springs woman was injured when the vehicle she was driving crashed in Pettis County Monday, Aug. 29. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred when a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Virginia Ulverg, 64, of Sweet Springs, was heading north on Buncomb Road. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck a culvert and became airborne. According to the report, the vehicle then struck a ditch and landed in a creek. Ulverg was transported to a hospital via ambulance for treatment of moderate injuries. The crash took place at 5:14 p.m. north of Route OO.
