Motorists should continue watching for deer throughout the month

One person was injured while crossing a Marshall street Thursday night, Oct. 27, according to a Marshall Police Department report.
The Marshall Police Department responded to the following calls for Oct. 2-6: Sunday, Oct. 2 --At 5:54 p.m., an officer responded to a residence on West Jackson Street in an attempt to locate a female with an active arrest warrant. She was reportedly a fugitive from justice from Saline County for domestic assault in the second degree and domestic assault in the fourth degree with a $7,500 cash or surety bond. The subject opened the door and repeatedly said she had done nothing wrong. She then went inside and locked the door. She reopened the door, attempted to close it again, but was later placed into handcuffs. She was later transported to the Saline County Sheriff’s Department.

Some injuries were reported after three vehicles crashed on U.S. Highway 65 in Marshall Monday morning, Aug. 29. The crash occurred between Wal-Mart Drive and Vest Street. According to a Marshall Police Department report, two of the drivers, Amanda Swift and Diane Raglin, reported a third vehicle had crossed the center line, striking both of their vehicles. Raglin’s vehicle then went off the roadway. The driver of the third vehicle, Anthony Deen, reportedly stated he was traveling south on Highway 65 and the next thing he remembered was striking the vehicles.
