At approximately 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, Saline County 911 dispatched Marshall Police, Marshall Fire, and Saline County Ambulance to an injury accident located at U.S. Highway 65 and the Springwater Greenhouse and Landscaping business.

A Carrollton man was injured in a Saline County crash early Thursday, Dec. 22, after the vehicle he was driving slid on ice.

Tuesday night, Dec. 20, a Marshall woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Route YY.

JEFFERSON CITY — State Fire Marshal Tim Bean is urging Missourians to be extra cautious heating their homes as the most frigid temperatures of the season push into the state. Each year, space heaters account for about one-third of home heating fires and 80 percent of heating fire deaths. Space heaters are the leading cause of home fires in the months of December, January and February, according to the National Fire Protections Association.
