The Marshall Police Department responded to the following calls Oct. 5-6, 2023: – Juvenile Report – Vaping at school – Juvenile Report – Vaping at school – Juvenile Report – Vaping at school – Abandoned vehicle – Abandoned vehicle tagged for towing – Juvenile Report – Vaping at School – Injury accident - On Friday, Oct. 6, an onboard crash detection system notified 911 of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of English Avenue and Morgan Street. Upon arriving on scene, the officer made contact with Driver 1, who stated he was traveling east on West Morgan when the sun blinded his vision temporarily, causing him to run a stop sign when his vehicle struck another vehicle. The officer observed a small laceration on the driver’s hand, but he refused any medical attention. The officer then made contact with Driver 2, who stated she was traveling north on North English crossing the intersection of English and Morgan when her vehicle was struck by the other. She stated she was experiencing pain after the collision and sought medical attention. She was transported by EMS to Fitzgibbon Hospital. Damage to both vehicles was recorded, and they were towed from the scene.
