The Marshall Police Department responded to the following calls Oct. 14-17, 2023: – Assault – individual threw a soda on another person – Non-Injury accident – Juvenile report – Beyond parental control – Abandoned vehicle – Ex-Parte Violation – Stealing Walmart – Leaving the scene of an accident - On Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10:49 p.m., a citizen contacted Central Dispatch, via telephone, stating a white fourdoor Mitsubishi had struck a utility trailer and a mailbox. The vehicle left the scene traveling westbound on Morrow Street, near Benton Avenue. On Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10:51 p.m., the officer arrived on-scene. A witness stated he was sitting in his living room, located at West Morrow, when he heard a loud noise from outside. He stated upon getting to his living room window he observed a white in color 4-door Mitsubishi sedan stopped behind an orange trailer. The witness stated he observed the trailer to be moved from its original resting stop on Morrow. The witness stated he heard the vehicle having difficulty starting its engine. The Mitsubishi had extensive front-end damage and left the scene traveling west on Morrow. The officer observed the trailer on the grass in front of a residence on West Morrow, and the trailer had no visible damage. The officer attempted to locate the vehicle, with negative results. The investigation continues.
