Fitzgibbon Hospital Auxiliary donates over $39,000 to Fitzgibbon Hospital

Thanks to the hard work of the Fitzgibbon Hospital Auxiliary Ambassadors, a check was presented to Angy Littrell, president and CEO of Fitzgibbon Hospital for $39,189.92 at the auxiliary's 31st annual banquet held on May 2. The funds were raised through several events throughout the year, including the annual Holiday Bazaar, sales in the Auxiliary Gift Shop, rummage sale, and special event sales in the hospital atrium including uniform sales, bake sales, The Nutman sales and annual Books Are Fun sales.

Marshall city administrator talks about Great Circle soliciting campus site

At the Marshall City Council meeting on Monday night, May 2, City Administrator JD Kehrman stated the Great Circle Board of Directors approached him in regard to soliciting proposals from community organizations for the continued use of the campus site. He said he has been able to connect the directors with administrative and social service organizations.

Human skull found near Missouri River

A human skull was recovered from near the Missouri River in Saline County, according to the Saline County Sheriff's Department. On Friday morning, deputies responded to a report of an individual locating human remains at Highway F in Miami. The sheriff's department stated no other remains were located at the scene. The recovered skull is under investigation in conjunction with the coroner's office.
