The Marshall Municipal Band will perform an early “good-will” concert this Wednesday evening. The free concert will be held at the St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Grand Pass. The concert will begin at 7 p.m.
A man dedicated to serving the community by volunteering his time to the local food pantry was recently honored. The late Ron Duvall was an active force for Community Food Pantry, in Marshall, and served as a chairman of its board of directors for an estimated 20 years.
JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has investigated ways to improve the statewide freight network, and now it’s acting on those findings. The General Assembly and Gov. Mike Parson approved $3.25 million for the FY 2023 Freight Enhancement Program, the most in the program’s 10-year history.
(JEFFERSON CITY – On July 16, 2022, the newly designated 9-8-8, three-digit number, routed individuals to the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, where compassionate, accessible care and support are available 24/7 for anyone experiencing a mental health, suicide, or substance use crisis. The 988 line is confidential and free for all. The Lifeline number, 1-800-273-8255, will continue to function. After July 16, 2022, both numbers will connect individuals to the same services.
