Invasive Chinese mysterysnail found in Lake Minesa in Marshall

The Missouri Department of Conservation staff have confirmed the presence of the invasive Chinese mysterysnail in Lake Minesa in Marshall. Staff were contacted by a concerned citizen about the presence of the prohibited species, and they found over 150 specimens during a short search of the area. The specimens MDC staff found were collected and removed, but further removal efforts are limited based on the hardiness of the species.

Women encouraged to ask their doctor about breast cancer

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Fitzgibbon Community Cancer Center also celebrates its 16th anniversary.
