Our church recently concluded a Vacation Bible School called “What a Mess!” The curriculum talked about why the world is such a messy place, starting with the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden (Genesis 3).
His tremendous love is manifest as he extends the precious invitation, “Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He knows life is hard and invites us, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” And He assures us, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)Sometimes, we miss out on things because we don’t feel like we belong, or we think it doesn’t pertain to us.
Someone once said that if you have many, or even one true friend, you are very rich.
Viewing stained glass I see how different parts are pieced together to create the finished work of the designer.
These past six weeks we have emphasized mothers and fathers and their natural impulse to protect their children and to serve as an example to them in tough times.
