ADELPHI, MD (06/24/2025)-- Sandra Alvarez, of Marshall, was named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 term at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.

Tuesday, June 24, was not a regular day at Exchange Bank in Slater. Staff members and customers were treated to a surprise visitor who, possibly, had more interest in looking for food and playing than actually working.
