MARSHALL – Through a partnership with the Youth Civic Leadership Challenge, five local service clubs hosted a community gathering on Wednesday, Aug. 10, focused on lifting up youth voices. As part of Celebrate Community Week, an annual initiative that brings service groups together to tackle key community issues, local members met with high school students from Marshall and Marceline to start conversations about community needs and opportunities.

Marshall vocalists auditioned for district choirs this past weekend. Choir Director Michael O’Neill congratulates all of the students – and every one of them was selected to participate in a district choir. The following are vocalists selected for each choir, and they will give performances on Saturday, Oct. 18, in Oak Grove.
